International Volunteer Recognition Day Celebrated in Dublin

International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026 was marked in Dublin with the sixth edition of the HELP Awards, hosted by the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin to recognise community service across Ireland. The event brought together volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates, changemakers and past honourees.

Frank Allen, previous awardee, playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher, gave the keynote address. Those honoured this year included Walk And Talk represented by Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland represented by Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association represented by Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain represented by Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Ireland Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid of Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj and Neera Baj.

Founded in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards recognise people and organisations making a difference through volunteer action. The awards reflect the wider mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, through which trained volunteers provide practical support in communities and during crises.
